Match reported by David Waud and Michele Clack. On board 4 Thomas had all the pressure with a ferocious queenside attack, but Clack threaded her way to an equal position. She then found a combination threatening mate leading to a forced loss of the queen to put Redditch one up. Bricknell played well for a solid victory on board 3. Kitchen and Stanton exchanged down to a pawn and bishop ending with neither player able to progress for their draw. Pountney and Abrahams drew in a complicated but level looking position. The game on board 1 was last to complete when Towers accepted a draw. It was a hard fought match. Kidderminster board 2 player's name corrected 3 May.
