Two winners at 2012 Warwickshire Congress

Three City players competed in the Warwickshire Congress held at Arden School & Language College, Knowle, Solihull on 3 and 4th of March.

Ray Collett and Andrew Farthing entered the Under-145 Tournament and Rob Sutton the Under-120 Tournament. In a reversal of recent form, Ray Collett won his first two games on Sturday and then retained an undefeated run to end up 1st along with fellow county player Andrew Wiggins from Redditch and three other players all on 4 points from 5 games. Andrew Farthing was feeling out of sorts and withdrew after scoring three draws from his three games. Rob Sutton, entering his first tournament, scored 2½ points from his 5 games and won a grading prize. Full congress results are on the MCCU web site.
