Worcester Bishops become league champions, just

The Bishops took command of Division 1 with a sequence of seven straight wins starting with their second match. In the end it was all down to a tie break with Malvern as the Bishops lost form in ther last two matches, drawing aginst Kidderminster Pawns and losing to bottom-of-the-table Redditch.

The Division 1 make up in 2012-13 included Kidderminster Pawns, who gained promotion. Headless Cross accepted the offer to continue in Division 1. There are five teams to beat and matches home and away. The table below shows dates for all fixtures except those against Headless Cross. Matches are over 4 boards. Time control is 35 moves in 1¼ hours followed by an additional 15 min to complete the game.
