The 2016-7 club champion is Nick Arkell. The buzzer tournament was won by Stewart Fishburne. Ladder and Lightning (Buzzer) Tournaments held.
Arguably the largest club in Worcestershire with a total of 14 teams in 4 different leagues. Halesowen play social and competitive league chess and hold other club events such as simultaneous displays. See a report and picture of the last agm on the Halesowen website. Members can borrow chess books from the Bill Cross Library. The venue is not suitable for wheelchair users.
