Third congress 2011

The third Annual Worcestershire Chess Congress on 24-25 July attracted 114 players from across the country and beyond. This was an increase on entries for the second congress in 2010. The healthy state of entries and players extra donations have raised over £650 for Age Concern, Sandwell. Entries this year include players from The Czech Republic, Latvia, Germany and France.

The Controlling team was strengthened with the addition of Ann and Alan Ruffle to last year's team comprising: Colin Reed, Andrew Moore, Andrew Farthing, Matthew Carr. CCF Mindgames provided the equipment and ran the bookstall with its wide selection of second hand and new books.
