Bishops are 2016-7 District champions

Introducing the Team

Jim Keene continued ascaptain for the 2016-7 season. He went one better than last year leading the team to the league championship. The Division contained the same teams as 2015-6 season because the Division 2 champions did not want promotion and Kidderminster Rooks stay in Division 1. The team competed against other teams playing home and away: Kidderminster Pawns, Kidderminster Rooks, Malvern, and Redditch A. Matches were over 4 boards. Time control was 35 moves in 1¼ hours followed by an additional 15 min to complete the game.
