Introducing the Team

Roger Yates was the captain and just failed to lead his team to the Division title. The Pawns team played in Division 2 of the Worcester & District League where there was one match against six other teams: Droitwich, Greenlands, Kidderminster Pawns, Mercia, Redditch B, and Stourbridge. Matches were over 4 boards. Time control was 35 moves in 1¼ hours followed by an additional 15 min to complete the game.

2016-7 news

The team completed its fixtures early in January ending with 8 match poits from a possible 12. Other teams are sure to overtake the Pawns as they complete their fixtures but Captain Roger Yates should take pride from his teams return to form after a poor 2015-6 season.
